The Korean Commercial Arbitration Board International (KCAB International) is pleased to announce the appointment of Pui-Ki Emmanuelle Ta as Secretary-General, effective 1 April 2025. She will succeed Steve Kim, who has successfully completed his three-year term with exemplary dedication.
Pui-Ki brings over 20 years of expertise as an international arbitration counsel across various jurisdictions, with strategic development experience, having previously served in leadership roles at prominent arbitral institutions. This includes 15 years at the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), working at both the Paris headquarters and the Hong Kong Asia Office. Having served as a deputy counsel at ICC Paris, she later moved to Hong Kong to serve first as a founding member and then as counsel of ICC¡¯s first overseas office leading the case management team there. During her tenure at the ICC, she handled over 1,000 cases, with a particular focus on Asia. A challenge-driven person, Pui-Ki then joined the newly established international online dispute resolution centre, eBRAM, where she acted as Chief Executive Officer and Secretary-General, and contributed to the growth of the institution.
Beyond her profound expertise in case management, Pui-Ki also maintains strong global connections with arbitral institutions and professionals, which she has built over 20 years of engagement in the field and will now bring to KCAB International to enhance its visibility and outreach in Korea and beyond.
As Secretary-General, Pui-Ki will be responsible for overseeing KCAB International¡¯s operations, including case management and business development. She will be committed to promoting KCAB International, strengthening connections with stakeholders, and advancing the institution¡¯s ADR services.
